The Stables
The Stables

This abandoned castle is nestled within a forgotten field just outside the city of Glasgow. These doors still stand after a hundred years of abandonment.

The Eye
The Eye

A tree struggles to grow in the centre of the castles crumbling spiral staircase,  branches reaching out for the meager light that enters.

The Chair
The Chair

You find many odd and strange things whilst roaming around the corridors and rooms of abandoned buildings. This chair sits alone, in the only sliver of light in the room as if the the last occupier sat here watching days roll past.

Bed Of Mannequins
Bed Of Mannequins

This church stands on a leafy road just outside of Edinburgh, nondescript from the outside but a treasure trove inside. Mannequins surrounded the bed looking down with unseeing eyes.

The Church
The Church

This find was completely by accident. I had become lost traveling from one site to the next, turning a corner and the church loomed up from over grown blackberry bushes and stinging nettles. my excitement was palpable and couldn't contain myself. This was the only shot i took and needed, as the church speaks for itself.

Minions Church
Minions Church

Garish yellow paint confronted me, mold climbing the walls turning a minion yellow to black. Pews drowning in dust and pigeon shit.

The Waiting Room
The Waiting Room

Many asylums were shut down through lack of funding or malpractice. This one was shut down for the later, electric shock therapy was the norm here, but even with its shady past its hard not to see the beauty that has been left behind.

The Little Tree That Could
The Little Tree That Could

A carpet of moss covered the floor, water dripping through a roof that had long gone. A single tree struggling to grow, roots clawing at the scant covering of the floor.

Asylum Door
Asylum Door

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Two doorway barely stand walls crumbling in abandon asylum, but the beauty of this is unmistakable.

The Painted Room
The Painted Room

Graffiti is a part and parcel of abandoned buildings. You and only get to see some of the best artitst in the world. People not thinking twice as art is demolished to make room for the next building.

The Crack Den
The Crack Den

Along side abandoned buildings, there are people who have also been abandoned, forgotten. they find places to hole up making a life were ever they come to be. Even to a burnt out motel along side a busy high way in Victoria, Australia.
